Job Description

Position Summary:

Segue Technologies seeks a SharePoint Developer to support an US Air Force Project. This is a full-time position located at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland AFB, TX. Hours 0730 to 1630 Monday to Friday. Minimal travel may be required.

The SharePoint Developer will perform engineering analysis, design enhancements and integration support for Microsoft Office SharePoint System (MOSS) to implement technical capabilities that satisfy requirements and interoperability needs identified by client. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Code, test, and implement custom solutions and tools in a collaborative service environment

·         Build custom workflows to automate business processes

·         Develop of custom client-side solutions and custom features

·         Develop scripts for custom functionality

·         Design interfaces to allow users that are internal to the US Air Force Portal to access collaboration sites containing acquisition instructions and information, and sample documents

·         Develop collaborative service sites using current industry applications such as but not limited to: MS SharePoint, MS SharePoint Designer, MS InfoPath, MS Visual Studio, MS Access, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks, and Adobe Photoshop

·         Directs and participates in the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantified engineering

approach to the design, development, operation and maintenance of software, such as SharePoint Server 2010 and 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, SharePoint Foundations and SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2007

·         Maintain and update user and group permission structure, site configuration, create graphics, alter look and feel of pages, create custom forms, provide instructions

·         Perform training to users as need and upon request

·         Analyzes and studies complex system requirements; consults with customers and team members to identify requirements

·         Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation

·         Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques

·         Estimates software development costs and schedule

·         Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques

·         Maintains a high level of expertise installing and configuring software products such as Microsoft SharePoint

·         Produces and interprets performance trends

·         Performs sites capacity planning and alerting

·         Prepares and updates documentation

·         Assesses new and relevant technologies

·         Interfaces with vendors, and partners to install and troubleshoot third-party software

·         Provide a consistent object-oriented programming environment whether object code is stored and executed locally, executed locally but Internet-distributed, or executed remotely

·         Additional duties as needed


Required Skills:

·         Bachelor's degree in IT Systems, Engineering, or other technical field plus 5 - 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         5+ years of SharePoint development experience developing customized views, workflows, form design, content management, relational database interoperability

·         5+ years of experience working with MS Office Suite, HTML & CSS, and XML

·         3+ years of experience working with JavaScript, jQuery, MS SharePoint Designer, Adobe Dreamweaver/Fireworks

·         Experience leading and supervising teams

·         Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         CompTIA Security+ certification

·         Active TS/SCI (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) Security Clearance


Desired Skills:

·         Experience in Internet Information Server (IIS) and Active Directory

·         Knowledge of architectural design, web parts development, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations

·         7+ years of experience working with SharePoint, MS Office Suite, HTML & CSS, and XML

·         5+ years of experience working with JavaScript, jQuery, MS SharePoint Designer, Adobe Dreamweaver/Fireworks

·         3+ years of experience leading and supervising teams

·         Current SharePoint 2010/2007 Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)

·         Web Master Certification (CPW, CIW, or CAW)
