  • Delivery of the test deliverables, according to the agreed schedule and to the standard defined in the test methodology.
  • Lead test team, coordinate testing activities, manage testing components within the agreed schedule.
  • Test planning and identify target test items for scope and to be evaluated for the test effort.
  • Independently define test scenarios for major processes in ERP system, prepare test cases with test steps (when required), verifying against the process maps and solution design documents.
  • Ensure the readiness of the testing environments for each test phase.
  • Assess quality of target test items and verify quality of testing performed by partners and vendors.
  • Monitor testing progress and provide regular updates and reports to Test Manager.
  • Control change and scope for test effort and evaluate the outcomes of test cycles, validate changes in build.
  • Participate actively in defect management process.
  • Contribute to improve test process and QA approach.
  • Identify risks that may compromise achievement of deliverables and initiate steps to mitigate risks.
  • Adhere to the prescribed test methodology and standards.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and peer groups.
  • Manage effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Proactively take ownership of issues and participate in problem solving activities.
  • Regular reports on activities and status and communicate to Project Team and appropriate business stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project team, business stakeholders, technical staff and client  partners to communicate and update testing progress and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proactive ability to impart knowledge and mentor others in acquiring skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the area of setting up and management of testing tools.
  • Ensure themselves and colleagues abide by OHS regulations for their work site.
  • Demonstrate OHS practices including OHS reporting.

Experience and Qualifications

  •  Minimum 5 years in application testing role and 1 year in test lead role.
  • Background in functional testing and non-functional testing for medium to large projects.
  • Experience in leading a test team and management of testing activities for medium to large projects.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or ERP projects (desirable)
  • Experience with using testing tools and Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) (desirable)
  • Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, customers, business stakeholders, partners and vendors effectively in written and verbal forms.
  • Fully conversant with the use of testing management and defect management tools.
  • Able to independently create and implement test plans, test cases and document test process.
  • Able to independently create process testing scenarios basing on process maps and technical solution design documents.
  • Able to execute test cases independently (as and when required) and reporting the test results outcome.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to support others in test planning and management.
  • Able to maintain the up-to-date issues log, track defects clearly and manage to resolution and closure.
  • Able to self-learn appropriate testing tool.
