SAP Experience

Minimum 4 years hands on working experience with the SAP product module indicated below with active participation in 2 full life cycle implementations.

Relevant Work Experience
Minimum 9 of overall consulting or business experience with an ability to leverage business process skills in an SAP environment.

Additional 3 years of work experience can be substituted for lack of a degree

Duties and Responsibilities (including all essential job functions)

SAP professionals are part of a diverse team which is responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that combine business processes with technology to help our government clients achieve the highest levels of performance.
Functional SAP consultants are involved in all phases of a life cycle implementation, including blueprinting, gap analysis, mapping, prototypes, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post production support.

The consultant may act as a team leader of a small workgroup on the project. Those responsibilities would include planning, assigning tasks, monitoring and tracking progress, and communicating status to project management. Additional core responsibilities would encompass workshop facilitation, business process data validation, testing from a functional business area perspective, program development, unit testing of the ABAP application code, delivery of business and technical solutions in consultant’s core area of expertise, conduct business systems and data requirements planning then build the data bases with results, provide future business strategies from a data point of view, make contributions to both the business and technical architecture components of the enterprise solution, provide support to the project team and review and assess the enterprise solution end product for accuracy and consistency.

Critical Knowledge

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years working in a SAP implementation environment as a consultant or a SME in a project implementation team. In addition, the candidate should have worked on two complete life-cycle implementations. This individual should have demonstrable skills of interfacing with customers to determine business requirements, and have good business process knowledge of how these processes impact the solution.

Hands-on configuration experience in the core module identified below is key and the ability to demonstrate that they have depth in their core module of expertise and breathe across other integration points of the SAP modules. The individual should be capable of leading medium sized teams of 7-12 resources and able to deliver solutions with minimal guidance from project managers. Strong writing and documentations skills required.
