Job Description

Position Summary:

Segue Technologies seeks a Project Manager to provide support for multiple U.S. Air Force contracts. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing small integrated teams at multiple CONUS locations and is expected to use best business practices and shall be responsible for all contractual responsibilities and delivery of all contract deliverables. This is a full-time position located primarily at Segue HQ in Arlington, VA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate high-quality development and timely delivery of all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) exercised under the project and ensure consistency between documented business processes, development activities, training materials, user manuals/user guides
  • Maintain a project schedule with tasks assigned to the various positions under this project
  • Assign tasks based on the project priorities
  • Oversee review of project deliverables and ensure quality meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Coordinate with the COR and, as required, the PMO to fill vacancies when needed
  • Ensure an efficient, effective, and economical level of support
  • Provide staff oversight and hiring activities
  • Maintain contract costs, performance, and schedule requirements
  • Manage overall contract performance and understand the needs and customer expectations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure quality software product development and sustainment support
  • Ensure projects shall be managed in accordance with industry best practices (e.g. the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)) and pertinent government procedures at the detail level commensurate with the scope and criticality of the project, arranged with the COR
  • Oversight of Requirements management, configuration management, risk management, cybersecurity management, and overall process administration
  • Support business development efforts, including leading and supporting proposals as needed
  • Additional tasks as required


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Systems, Engineering, or other technical field plus 8 - 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience providing project management oversight of small to medium, multi-functional project teams in a web and database technology-based environment
  • Experience planning and managing complex tasks sometimes under tight budget and time constraints
  • Experience in creating project schedules which include slack and lead time as well as integrating multiple project schedules into an overall division, directorate or enterprise schedule
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in project management and government contracting
  • Working knowledge of government contract and subcontract management
  • Ability to write, review, edit, and update project management documentation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (or meet requirements to sit for and pass the exam)
  • Practical experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and associated methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) experience
  • Ability to lead, write or otherwise support proposal efforts
  • Strong management and leadership experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at the Secret level


Desired Skills:

  • Experience leading projects supporting DoD customers
  • Agile Certified Practitioner certification or equivalent
  • Experience leading projects which included Risk Management Framework-based support and material development
  • Experience with subcontract management
  • Ability to manage a diverse work environment with multiple concurrent projects and government-directed priorities
