Job Description

Job Title:  Pharmacy Tech

Location: San Antonio, TX

Duration: 2 Months 

Duties:

  • This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc. providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization proce
  • Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
  • National pharmacy technician certification.
  • Eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
  • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience highly preferred, but not required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.

The Client is a national leader in the pharmaceutical field, and you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information technologies and channels.
As a Pharmacy Technician – Member Services, you will be responsible for being the initial point of contact for Customer Care and plan participants before the required pharmacist involvement for general questions that are clinical based. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring all patient’s questions are answered in a timely manner. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for answering request in a timely manner as well as keeping proper detailed records regarding any participant/prescriber interaction.
