POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for providing overall maintenance, support, configuration and security for Client and Systems. The Network and Systems Manager will work closely with Director of IT and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support system and network and security solutions for all aspects of the organization.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Four or more years’ experience in Network/System Administration with working knowledge of key security standards, plus three or more years as a IT assurance or security professional
  • Experience with LAN/WAN configuration, VOIP, vlan, IPS and SIEM/Log management
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Active Directory / Group Policy, mobile devices, CITRIX, Patch Management and Firewall Administration
  • Ability to make educated and intelligent decisions in a timely manner uses a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex matter to multiple constituencies.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills.
  • Work effectively balancing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage operation of technology including monitoring, maintaining and configuration of the network
  • Provide expertise and consulting to the organization on security controls
  • Accountable to insure execution of IT Security Operations, including Risk and Compliance, Privileged Access Management, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Security Monitoring, Security Intelligence, and Infrastructure Security, and Security Training.
  • Responsible for security incident resolution including incident identification, triage, analysis, processing and final resolution
  • Establish, maintain and monitor relationships with outside vendors
  • Network and Systems Manager
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network configuration; monitor and maintain network stability matrix
  • Patch Management responsibilities primarily on network devices and secondary systems
  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of IT Disaster Recovery
  • Evaluate, recommend and develop strategic plans for systems development and operation including hardware and software purchases  Configure, secure, monitor and maintain the VOIP network
  • Consult with Director of IT and key decision makers to analyze current and future information systems needs
  • Ensure IT projects are completed on time, within budget and meet agreed-upon performance requirements
  • Works closely with the servers, workstations and printers staff
