We have opening for transportation (roadway) designer for our Raleigh, NC office. This individual will provide engineering design, calculations, CAD support, and project assistance to the Transportation Design Group. The most frequent and essential work activities include:
• Use project specification, detailed drawings and verbal instructions to complete assignments.
• Performs calculations, prepares material and specifications and provides preliminary sketches and notes for drawings.
• Plans, schedules and executes all phases of a highway design project.
• Performs preliminary, right of way and final engineering design.
• Works closely with engineer/project managers to obtain project information, recommend changes and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
Prerequisites for employment include:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of transportation (roadway) design experience or an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of transportation (roadway) design experience or an equivalent amount of experience
• Proficiency in MicroStation, GeoPak and Corridor Modeling softwares preferred
• Experience with NCDOT design standards and practices is preferred
• Basic Excel and Microsoft Word skills
• Must be willing to travel on occasion
• Valid Driver's License

Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking equipment doors, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Take orders from customers, input orders into micros, and obtain payment and provide change. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Multiple Benefit Verification Specialist positions are available in Rockville with a large healthcare company. Interviews are now being conducted.
•Start Date: Sometime in October
•Pay: $15 to $18 an hour depending upon location – specific information will be available later in August
•Shift Information: Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
•Training hours will be 8am-5pm (paid training)
•Under supervision, contact insurance companies on behalf of the physician's office to verify patient specific benefits
•Ask appropriate questions regarding patient benefits and complete data entry and/or appropriate forms to document patient benefits coverage
•Collect and review all patient insurance information needed to complete the benefit verification process
Job Specific Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED
•6 months or more benefit verification experience
•2 years related experience or college degree
•Specific experience in medical office administration, benefit verification, coding, claims processing, or customer service at an insurance company is a plus
