Position Summary:

Segue Technologies Inc. seeks a Systems Developer, to join our team as part of a project at Offut Air Force Base, NE. The Systems Developer will support Remedy systems, virtual systems, SharePoint and Jira workflow integration, and software testing within 557 WW and throughout the Air Force Weather function. This is a full-time position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer the 557 WW Remedy application servers, supporting database servers, VMware SDDC infrastructure, VMware Horizon, and software testing. This includes system administration of the associated servers and applications
  • Sustain and develop BMC Remedy workflow
  • Translate user requirements into necessary design modifications
  • Create reports to support project measurement and data analytics
  • Maintain existing systems and environments IAW disciplined engineering practices and sustain applications, databases, and interfaces in compliance with applicable AF DoD standards
  • Create user documentation for additions and modifications of supported software and hardware
  • Ensure system availability, including after-hours support as needed
  • Standardize procedures
  • Monitor the efficiency of current systems and suggest improvements
  • Additional tasks as required

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Engineering, or another technical field or related major. 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience is considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
  • Programming experience
  • Must be comfortable using and patching Microsoft systems and software
  • Working knowledge with the standard Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment
  • Previous experience working with DoD customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification

 

Desired Skills:

  • Remedy development and administration experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, rudimentary Linux and UNIX commands
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following software items would be helpful:
    • Windows Server administration
    • Windows 10 workstations
    • Microsoft SQL Server databases, 2008 or newer
    • Microsoft Visual Studio
    • VMware SDDC Management
    • VMware Horizon
    • Crystal Reports
