Description:

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) created a website and call center operating under the name Maryland Health Connection (MHC). Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP). 

MHBE seeks up to two (2) Applications Programmers (Salesforce Developers) to support the development and maintenance of its Salesforce applications, including the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise applications in Salesforce.com including developing Apex Triggers, Visualforce Pages and Apex Classes.
  • Integrate Salesforce.com and Legacy systems using Salesforce APIs.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture, provide innovative solution approaches to programming, database development and application integration efforts.
  • Interface with business and IT teams to understand and translate business needs into formal technical requirements and application code.
  • Develop and execute quality unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
  • Work with business teams to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing.
  • Provide support for all system testing efforts including unit testing, functional testing end-to-testing, validation testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Create Packages to deploy code from Sandbox to Production environment.
  • Troubleshoot all issues related to code in Sandbox and Production environments.
  • Perform technical tasks related to CRM migration efforts.
  • Adhere to all security, change control and MHBE Project Management Office (PMO) policies, processes and methodologies.
  • Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime as needed, including weekends, holidays, and off-hours.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related Discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Salesforce.com applications development and implementation.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience using Apex Classes / Controllers, Apex Triggers, SOQL, SOSL, Visual Force Page/Components, Test Classes, schedule jobs, batch jobs and email services.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Salesforce Integration using Salesforce APIs and Middleware.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Service Cloud implementation.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in packaging and deploying applications, deploying meta-data between environments using ANT and change sets.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture, ability to provide innovative solution approaches, support programming, database development and application integration efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in migrating CRM applications from Oracle or other CRM products to Salesforce CRM.
  • Knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Highcharts, Web service API.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com Appexchange apps generally used in Service Cloud.
  • Salesforce Developer/Advanced Developer/Service Cloud certifications.
