Key Account Director – LATAM
As a Key Account Director - LATAM, you are accountable for a specific named global telecom operator group account with multiple assets in the LATAM region. Additionally, with the team in the region you will actively acquire new customers, preside over all the ongoing key sales initiatives in the region, developing partnerships, and customer deployments reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer of Qvantel.
Primarily, you are accountable and responsible for securing the success of ongoing lead customer deployment in the region. You will carry a double digit MUSD annual sales budget quota with P/L ownership and customer satisfaction KPIs. You will set and manage the customer expectations, and deeply involve driving Qvantel’s regional Program/Project teams to achieve the deployment commitments (measured in euro, contractual KPIs and customer satisfaction).
Accountable for the named Key Account’s revenue and profitability, contractual KPIs, customer satisfaction and cashflow
Accountable for managing overall performance of named Key Account engagement by securing and ensuring e.g.: Planning, Deliverable Progress follow-up, Budget & cost control follow-up, Scope control and quality.
Architects and drives the design and negotiation of major external contracts and acts as the senior point of contact for the engagement escalations by customer.
Responsible for pro-actively engaging with customer to manage expectations on executive and operational levels
Supports and steers the program delivery teams (Program Director, Project Managers, Line Managers) by aligning internal stakeholders to achieve the targets agreed with customer
Manages the delivery scope creep and drives the upsells by ensuring adequate change management process with customer
Ensures the documentation and cataloging of all key decisions leading to changes in scope, timeline and secures the customer sign-off.
Supports the Program Director to mitigate program risks with preventive actions and understands business implications of the program for both Qvantel and the customer.
Responsible for hunting and securing new customers in the region (with defined yearly quota) through direct sales / partnerships
Demonstrated experience in Sales, Business Development and Customer Engagement with proven track record. Proven track-record in successfully carrying and delivering a designated Sales Quota annually. Extensive decision maker level contacts within Telecom operator domain is a must.
Self-starter, goal driven with go getting attitude. Problem solving skills with ability to take quick decisions. Hungry for career growth and demonstrated achievements in the roles held.
Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills. Approachable personality with good customer engagement skills.
Extensive Project and Service Delivery Management experience backed up with relevant qualifications and contract law issues
Fluent Spanish and English language skills
Degree in Business Management and 15+ years of relevant experience
