What you get to do every day:
Create, edit, and manage content for the HTC Blog (requires working with the content management software).
Manage the HTC Blog editorial calendar and partner with the global social media and PR teams to integrate and maintain a global editorial calendar.
Work with other contributors inside and outside of HTC on their blog posts and owning the editorial process from end-to-end.
Partner closely with global marketing and country marketing managers to support brand campaigns and local product launches.
Copy edit, proofread, and stage all blog posts.
Develop relationships with key business stakeholders at HTC. It’s vital to the success of the blog that we profile our own employees and their respective achievements in the mobile industry.
Develop and seek out interesting and unique stories from inside and outside of the company.
Talk with our customers to build and maintain a high-level of consumer engagement inside the community that drives positive word-of-mouth for our brand and products.
Engage regularly with our energetic consumer VIP community, HTC elevate, as part of driving word-of-mouth traffic to the blog.
Exercise your analytical mind and report on traffic generated to the blog regularly, using data to advise editorial content and grow the community and traffic deeper into the site.
Work with the .COM team on technical updates to the blog platform.
Assist other social media team members with special projects when needed
What you bring to the role:
3-5 years of professional experience, with a background in online communications, content strategy, editorial management, social media, or marketing.
The ability to write professionally for varied audiences and consistently meet tight and changing deadlines and with a strong attention to detail.
Strong writing and editorial background, ideally with experience managing and writing for multi-authored blogs (show us your links and tell us what you did).
Prior experience in WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office suite, and basic photo and video editing software.
A strategic thinker with a good understanding of messaging and reputation management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks, with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
Ability to travel up to 10%, valid passport required.
