Position : QA with Telecom
Location: WALTHAM - MA
Duration: 12+ months
•Develop, install, maintain, and modify advanced scientific and/or engineering application programs, business application programs, or integrated programs. Identify and analyze user requirements and recommend appropriate applications or modifications.
•Write and execute test plans. Document and develop ladder diagrams. Write MOPs for lab test environment. Support senior members of the staff in product and service development.
•Q/A of native and over the top IP telephony clients. Q/A of VoIP CPE (IP phones and associated devices).
•Debug call flows, debug server and execution environments.
Support existing IMS and SIP infrastructure components.
•SIP/IMS protocol and architecture expertise. Call state, protocol debug. Ladder diagrams.
General IP telephony expertise. Media transport protocols, SRTP, DTLS, the usual stuff. Presence (XDMP documents). Other signaling (XMPP) and L2/L3 protocols (DNS/ENUM, NATs, VPNs, etc.).
•Pedantic, attention to detail. Ability to write and execute a test plan to test use cases and devices/ clients.
•Must be good at getting things done w/o a lot of direction; go getter and self starter. This makes up for my shortcomings as a manager, I’m not good at leading people who need to be led.
•Articulate, good written skills.
•MS in computer science, telecom engineering, or BS with equivalent experience. We are willing to consider a recent MS level graduate without significant work experience as long as they have protocol and domain expertise.
