Release Coordinator is accountable to the Release Manager; as such this individual is likely to be within a specific functional group within the organization. There may be needs for multiple coordinators depending on the size and complexity of the organization. Product Solutions Release Management Release Coordinator Assignment Version 4.0 Responsibilities; Support the Release Manager role in carrying out activities that have been delegated to the Release Coordinator assignment (including filling in for the Release Manager when needed); Recognize & assess key information concerning all Releases throughout the Release lifecycle, including updates of information about specific Releases and managing of Releases through the stages within the lifecycle; Provides support to PS Release team, Change Management team, Project teams, PS Service Desk, and Areas outside of Product Solutions for Release activities; Analyze requests for change as they are initiated and approved and communicate impact to the Release team; Identify & own Dependencies, Risks, and Issues for Release Identify and engage with work efforts that impact Product Solutions; Analyze the process to identify opportunities for improvement (within Release, across the Service Management disciplines, or other processes) through Continual Service Improvement (CSI) activities compiling data against established process KPIs Active participation in Post Implementation Reviews and resulting action items; Leads and/or contributes to strategic work focused on Continual Service Improvement; Guide Release communications content to create appropriate communications to all stakeholders regarding Releases; Coordinate all activities of the Release Management process throughout the Release lifecycle; Maintain PS Release Management Process and Procedure documentation and coordinate regular reviews (i.e. Annual review of Release Policy); Participate as an active member of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) representing the Release Team; Proactively engage with Development Center Change Liaisons (DCCL) beginning with impact assessment, to appropriately bundle work efforts; Integrates State Farm and industry best practices into potential solutions; Drive the work of the PS Release Team; Maintain the Release Data Mine Utility (DMU) tool details of work efforts Key Skills & Competencies; Strong communication skills; Practitioner knowledge of the Service Management practices and associated reporting tools • Clear understanding of the end-to-end Systems processes and the interfaces and dependencies with other processes; Leadership abilities to build consensus and influence others; Results oriented with a focus on getting the job done; ITIL Foundations education required; Practitioner certification for Service Transition desired
