We are looking for Digital Marketing - Agency Sales / Business development for an immediate need. The applicants should have strong experience in Business Development or Account Management within a marketing agency public relations or communications firm or directly comparable experience working inside a corporation or institution. This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.
The applicants should be open for relocation to NJ/NY/SFO.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or account management within an marketing agency, public relations, or communications firm, or directly comparable experience working inside a corporation or institution
Extensive direct experience working within the Agency world
Proven track record of managing and building relationships with new clients and the ability to retain current clients
Ability to sell services and products into existing client base
A proven track record for delivering consistent revenue growth
Highly motivated, energetic personality with a proven track-record of managing a successful team
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated mentality; driven at all times to meet and exceed goals
Excellent in-person presentation skills, relationship building and experience in contract negotiations
Ability to work with all levels within the team and across the organization
Self-motivated and goal oriented
Comfortable with high volume of client interaction both in person and through phone and email
Impeccable ethical standards and professional presence
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must have exceptional writing skills
Understanding of Software-as-a-Service model
Significant experience presenting to and closing C-Level executives at Fortune level organizations
Demonstrated track record of delivering to million plus in annual fee revenue for digital marketing services with an average deal size of $250k to 1 million plus
Possess analytical and problem solving skills together with business process knowledge sufficient to assess client requirements, work with DMS delivery leaders in identifying appropriate solutions, and lead the development of compelling and successful proposals
Experience on client service side and/or business development in any of the following areas: Paid Search, SEO, Display, Social Media, Web Analytics, Web Site Development
Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence, and results
Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating, and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities, Energetic, upbeat, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to exceed personal/team goals and quota.
Ability to qualify leads, develop large multi-site opportunities and build relationships, Ability to learn, understand and present detailed product features & benefits.
The Business Development Director is responsible for generating new business for helping enterprise level prospects understand the value that digital marketing services can deliver.
This individual will be responsible for prospecting the Fortune 1000 and for qualifying new inbound leads from enterprise level clients.
This dynamic leader will own the entire client acquisition process through contract signing.
The Business Development Director will work closely with the executive leadership team and the Marketing Sciences & Strategy team in pursuing long term relationships with the world’s leading brands.
Develop relationships with C-level executives within Fortune/enterprise level organizations
Meet and exceed direct sales goals.
Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to manage a large number of prospects simultaneously through the sales process.
Manage and track prospect/customer information in CRM; logging all sales activity within the established processes; keeping sales activity current and accurate.
Analyze existing & prospective customer needs, identify opportunities and scope potential DMA offerings
The Business Development Director must demonstrate a high level of strategic acumen regarding all aspects of digital marketing and be comfortable speaking to Fortune level, CMO/VP level decision makers across a diverse set of vertical industries for both B2B and B2C organizations.
Sales and Pipeline
Sell Cognizant digital marketing services, including campaign planning and execution, branding, website design and production, online advertising and video
Build, manage and continually develop a vertical-specific sales pipeline to achieve targets for new, retained, and expanded business
Manage pipeline and all opportunities for existing clients in vertical, and review with management and colleagues as necessary
Communicate Cognizant’s value proposition to prospective clients in a manner appropriate for the target audience (tailor Business Development presentations to the audience)
Develop and present opportunity-specific pitch materials that represent the breadth and depth of Cognizant services and experience within the context of a prospective client’s business goals
Develop appropriate project scope, pricing, and timing during the business development process according to the client’s needs and the Cognizant delivery team’s capabilities
For each Cognizant client within the designated vertical, collaborate with all appropriate internal parties to help define client goals, set program objectives, develop plans and timelines, and monitor ongoing delivery to ensure client satisfaction
Provide ongoing executive sponsorship and high-level advisory services to clients and prospective clients within designated vertical, in order to both ensure client retention, and identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Monitor client billing to ensure accuracy and follow-up with clients on outstanding collections
Process Development and Collaboration
Monitor profitability of existing pricing structures, and work with the delivery team to ensure pricing of future work is competitive and profitable.
Collaborate with other Cognizant’s Client Management staff, sales, delivery staff and management to develop and implement systems and processes to monitor, ensure, and improve client satisfaction.
