Five year’s business system analyst experience or equivalent.
No less than 3 to 5 years of P&C or Specialty (Non-Life) Insurance domain industry experience. Experience should include BSA participation on projects which involved the development of all aspects of new specialty insurance area, including Information technology systems support and business processes.
Works directly with all levels of personnel, including external clients and vendors.
Works with business and technology areas to define scope, assist with cost or benefit analysis and define business specifications.
Provides analysis, recommendations, consultation, and expert SMA.
Assists business clients with project definition, requirements definition, user testing and training.
Accountable for creating or contributing to documentation of requirements, design, testing, implementation, post production validation, and audit deliverables using accepted concepts, standards, and best practices.
Works closely with programmers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve client needs.
Participates in testing, QA , implementation and post production validation activities
Runs queries and analyzes data using a variety of tools and methods.
Resolves a variety of complex problems and questions.
ledge of information systems technologies including client/server, AS400, and/or web applications and systems.
Should perform DB queries and analysis utilizing SQL, AS400 or similar database structures
Proven experience as a Senior BSA on multiple large projects from inception through completion.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills are required. working with all levels of management.
Should have experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements in an IT department or technology based company.
Required strong facilitation and meeting management skills.
Experience in full SDLC processes and methodologies.
Good working knowledge of project management concepts, methodologies and tools.
Required intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, PowerPoint
Programming or QA background using client/server, AS400 or web platforms
Expertise with the WINS policy admin platform, Guidewire claims and ImageRight document management preferred
