Our client, one of the leading, national health insurance providers is currently seeking several Customer Service Representatives and Claims Representatives. The position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

~~Customer Service/ Call Center Representatives~~

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
· Responds to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility and claims 
· Analyzes problems and provides information and solutions 
· Operates a computer to obtain and extract information; documents information, activities and changes in the database 
· Documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis 
· Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 
· Requires a High School diploma or GED 
· Call center experience 
· 3 to 6 months experience in an automated customer service environment or any combination of education and experience 

Anticipated Start Date: Late August, Early September 
Pay Rate: $13.50 – 14.00 per hour - DOE 

Duration: Long term

 

~~~~Claims Representatives~~~

JOB DESCRIPTION 
• Verifies or re-verifies insurance eligibility. 
• Review requests from doctors and pharmacists to determine whether medication coverage prior authorization can be given by screening and reviewing requests based on benefit plan design, client specifics and clinical criteria. 
• Notifies patients of insurance eligibility/benefits and financial responsibility. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
• Handle inbound telephone and written inquiries from pharmacists and doctors regarding prior authorization by screening and reviewing requests based on benefit plan design, client specifics and clinical criteria. 
• Provide information to clients, participants, pharmacists and doctors regarding participants pharmacy benefit, drug coverage and provide accurate procedures for medication exceptions. 
• Facilitate resolution of drug coverage issues and pro-actively address research and resolve issues while maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries for continuous improvement. 
• Work collaboratively with other associates and supervisor to ensure that best practices are shared. 
• Other special projects as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 
• High School Diploma or GED 
• 6 months - 1 year work experience 
• Ability to handle challenging customers in a professional manner 
• Candidates must be Basic in Microsoft Word and Excel. Computer skills are required. 
• Claims, billing, enrollment are a plus. 
• Candidates with insurance background is a plus, but NOT REQUIRED
