Position will be responsible for vendor research, proposal review, contract negotiation and execution, relationship building, data acquisition, analysis, reporting and ad hoc analysis. 

Collateral Valuations Analyst is a member of the Credit Risk team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and perform analysis for collateral valuation related activities; which will include the warehousing of, and analysis of, AVMs and collateral values. This person is expected to be a collateral valuation subject matter expert and thereby responsible for responding to credit risk related inquiries from senior management. This individual must have a working knowledge of SAS programming. 

Position will be responsible for vendor research, proposal review, contract negotiation and execution, relationship building, data acquisition, analysis, reporting and ad hoc analysis. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to; vendor research, proposal review, contract negotiation and execution, relationship building (both internal and external), collateral valuation data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to productively interact with and evaluate the capabilities of multiple AVM vendors
  • Ability to productively and proactively interact with multiple internal teams; accounting, credit, loan management, model risk management, procurement, legal, etc.
  • Keep senior management well apprised of:
o Concerns 
o Issues 
o Product changes & enhancements 
o Schedule/Project Plan 
o Expected collateral value movements 
o Expected impacts 
  • Stay on top of relevant regulation and industry developments related to AVMs and collateral values.
  • Setup calls with third party vendors in acquisition of data.
This position leverages a highly motivated self-starter with the proven ability to: 
  • Own, coordinate, and execute acquisition of collateral values data
  • Proven ability to manage a projects, process, and/or product.
  • Troubleshoot multiple issues and follow through to resolution
Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:
  • 4+ years overall work experience, 2-4 years in mortgage or consumer loans preferred
  • Experience/functional skills in SAS.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
Minimum Education, Certification, Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree a plus
