The T&T Technical Lead has responsibility for performing research, design, and development of the IT service architecture in accordance with specified business requirements.
The TC has the overall responsibility to engineer the business requirements and vision into a technical service roadmap.
Responsibility for leading and mentoring a team to implement and deliver Application Packaging Services.
Complete ownership of the technical lifecycle of all aspects of the constituent projects and the delivery of high quality supporting design documentation will be involved.
The TC will divide his time over the following areas:
•Deep Support / Mentoring / Knowledge Transfer
•Application Packaging, SW Management
•Unique mastery and recognized authority on Software Management knowledge including technologies, theories, techniques and supporting infrastructure.
•Including Software Packaging, Software Distribution, Platform Builds / Imaging, Mobility Management and Security
•Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas for Software Management Services.
•Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
•To advance existing services
•To evaluate / develop new services
•Maintains Technical relationship with external partners, reviews new and upcoming tools, co-ordinates change requests and support requests.
•Develops the technical Software Management strategy, sets functional policy and direction based on/aligned to the business drivers and goals.
•Responsibility to engineer the business requirements and vision into a technical service roadmap
•May act as lead technical representative towards customers, gathering information and proposing solutions
•Supports pre-sales RFQs and bid teams
•Recognized authority through publications and presentations, both internally in and externally in wider HP.
•Capable to lead cross-division, multi-function teams or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives
•Provides leadership, mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
•Support creation of training plans
•Stimulates knowledge exchange
•Co-ordinates Deep Support for Software Management
•Reviews, advices where project implementations are at variance from the standard service description.
•Drives Service Standardization through (requesting) documenting services from high level service description to detailed delivery documentation.
•Has broad knowledge of corporate policies, products, markets and processes, as well as understanding of business management principles and practices.
•Strong analytical, innovation, technical and communication skills are imperative for this role.
•Has skills in management, planning, problem solving, and negotiation.
