Job Description:

  • Overall responsible for supply planning for crop protection, seeds and lawn & garden products - ensures availability of supply to meet forecast, manage shortages and works to address supply roadblocks/dependencies (registration, etc).
  • Develop strategies to support overall sales objective but at the same time reducing inventories and meet target forward cover.
  • Reviews supply plan and ensures alignment to agreed purchase & production plan
  • Works with Logistics, Quality and Finance to ensure that system inventory is accurate and usable for supply planning
  • Works with relevant stakeholders to ensure quality of supply
  • Reviews supply-related requirements for new product introduction (NPI) and works with supply planning leads to define requirements for timely launch.
  • Partner with Processing to ensure timely supply availability in the right quantities and quality
  • Reviews material requirements and ensure these are available at the right time, in the right quantities to meet production schedule
  • Owns developing the Planning budget for training, travel, PVDE duties and non-duties;
  • Develops overall supply strategy that is efficient and responsive at the least cost with excellent quality
  • Partners with Logistics to determine overall warehouse and distribution requirements that support the requirements of the business
  • Degree in Chemistry or Engineering (Chemical, Industrial) with more than 5 years working experience in a similar industry or manufacturing environment
  • Operational understanding of manufacturing, forecasting, capacity and supply planning
  • Experience in using SAP specific to inventory module
  • Fundamental understanding of project management including tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (word, excel and power point)
  • Minimum of two years (in a managerial function) or three years in a supervisory role with keen interest in developing people and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in successfully working in cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in managing projects using project management techniques
  • Must be willing to travel when required (local and international)
  • Must be open to working extended hours as the need arises
  • Must be open to taking additional projects when required
