Position : PeopleSoft Functional Consultant
Location : Madison, WI
Duration : 12 Months

Essential Job Duties:

  • Actively participate in requirements gathering sessions, business process workshops, Functional walkthroughs & business process design sessions
  • Review and quickly gain thorough understanding of existing legacy (home grown, mainframe based) Project Costing, Funding, Contracts and Billing systems
  • Collaborate with SME’s and quickly gain thorough understanding of how legacy business processes are mapped to future state PeopleSoft Project Costing, Contracts, Billing systems
  • Identify complex business scenarios from existing legacy systems and prepare business process maps to future state PeopleSoft Project Costing, Contracts, Billing
  • Prepare thorough, comprehensive, easy to understand ‘future state’ business process documentation – business requirements, functional requirements, process maps, swim lanes, other
  • Identify business process gaps while mapping legacy business processes to future state PeopleSoft
  • Collaborate with team members and research/document resolutions to identified ‘gaps’
  • Final deliverables of this role includes: future state business and functional requirements document, and present to project sponsors for approval/signoff

Required PeopleSoft Skills/Experience. Candidates must have the following:

  • Strong ERP (PeopleSoft) financials background – especially related to project costing, contracts, funding, funds distribution across Federal, State, Local projects
  • 5 yrs. recent experience as PeopleSoft financials business/functional analyst/Senior PeopleSoft business/functional analyst/SME
  • 3 yrs. PeopleSoft Financials Project Costing functional experience – Version 9.0 or higher
  • 3 yrs. experience with PeopleSoft Contracts Management, Billing, GL – Version 9.0 or higher
  • 3 yrs. recent experience preparing very complex PeopleSoft financials business & functional requirements documents and presenting to business owners for review/approval
  • 3 yrs. recent experience working closely with business process owners, IT teams, in documenting complex PeopleSoft financials business processes.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • CPA or equivalent.
  • 3 yrs. functional experience with PeopleSoft financials public sector 9.2, especially Project Costing
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft (or other ERP) integration with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
