Position : HP UX Admin
Location : West point ,PA / Branchburg, NJ
Duration : 6 Months

Job Description :

  • L3 HPUX
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining HP servers.
  • Sound knowledge on blade servers and OA Configuration.
  • Installation, Configuration & decommissioning of High Availability MCSG Cluster installed on RX-series and RP series servers
  • Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager.
  • Installation & Configuration of Npar/Vpar Partitions
  • HPVM (Integrity VM) Deployment and administration.
  • Installation and Configuration of ignite backup. Create and Verify Golden images.
  • Installation of operating system patches, updating the maintenance levels when required
  • Configuring kernel parameters and performance tuning of the system on HPUX servers
  • Installing and managing OVO & OVPA agents (HP OpenView) on HP UNIX servers.
  • Configuring and managing swap on HP UNIX servers.
  • Should have sound knowledge on superdome servers and Gwlm.
  • Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning like DR drill.
  • Expert level knowledge in the implementation and a management of complex storage environments, including storage area networks (SANs).
  • SAN/NAS Migration
  • Configuring Samba/CIFS shares and administration.
  • Printer Administration.
  • Capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning technologies.
  • Quickly detect, diagnose, analyze and resolve difficult issues related to system hardware, operating systems and applications.
  • Maintain system integrity concerning data and computing resources and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in all project activities accordingly to ensure on time deliverables are met including day-to-day planning and coordination with customers and internal teams.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain system documentation (e.g. Requirements, Design/Build, Testing, and SOP) according to department standards.
  • Respond to requests and resolve issues and problems using Remedy ticketing system.
  • Perl/Shell scripting and automation is added advantage.
  • vendor co-ordination and root cause analysis.
  • Adding additional luns to the server AIX, Oracle installation HPUX or Solaris knowledge with be added advantage
  • SAP knowledge would be an added advantage
