Role: Team Foundation Server AdministratorLocation: Baltimore, MDLength: 6 months, extendable Job Description:
The position is responsible for designing of the enterprise Microsoft TFS system focusing on planning and executing the migration of MS Windows .Net apps from legacy Software Configuration Management/Version Control systems (such as PVCS, TFS 2008, VSS) to the Bank’s new enterprise TFS instance. The project will include defining and documenting SCM/ALM processes, services provided to user community, support procedures as well as user training and developing customizations and integrations as required, In addition the incumbent will provide an effective service and support for the MS TFS environment as well as in other areas of Software Configuration Management (SCM)/Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and corresponding tools as a part of a support team. Knowledge and extensive experience in version control systems/SCM tools (MS TFS, Subversion, Git, Visual SourceSafe)
Knowledge and experience in SCM (Software Configuration Management) and ALM (Application Lifecycle management) principles and processes as specifically applied to MS TFS tool (team project structure, branching strategy, work items, Agile Project Planning, MS Build, integration with NuGet through binary repository (e.g Nexus or Artifactory)
Experience in large scale implementations and migrations of various SCM/VCS tools to TFS 2012/2013 including planning and coordination with various stakeholders in the organization
Experience in MSBuild, TFS Power Tools
Excellent communication, oral and written skills and experience in
Experience in writing internal administrative and end-user technical documentation
Experience in TFS training/presentations for large development teams
Experience in supporting multiple software development teams and working under pressure
Experience working in a support team structure/service desk environment DESIREABLE SKILLS
Experience in implementation of TFS High availability and Disaster recovery solutions.
Experience in using binary repositories (Nexus/Artifactory) in conjunction with TFS
Experience with scripting using PowerShell, Korn Shell, Ruby/JRuby, Perl and Jython/Python or Java API knowledge and practical experience
Experience with Agile technologies - SCRUM, Kanban
Experience in IBM/Rational products - ClearCase v 8.0 (UCM only), MultiSite, CTE/WAN server, BuildForge.
Experience in IBM Rational BuildForge and/or other build and deployment tools
Experience in Ant/Ivy, Maven, Gradle and similar scripting
