Title: Test Engineer V
Duration: 03/09/2015 - 09/30/2015
Location: Denver , Colorado

 
Quality Assurance / Test Engineer 
Responsibilities
Primary
•  In coordination with the State, develop and maintain a Test Plan for the project which encompasses quality assurance, user acceptance test, and regression testing.   The Test Plan shall include:  
 
§Definition of roles and responsibilities of project members involved
§Process for creating test scripts including presenting test scripts and test data to the State team for approval prior to any test effort 
§Preparing communications to test participants 
§Identifying, cleansing and/or creating test data be used in the test effort
§Managing the scheduling of test participants
§Designing, developing, and delivering the training for the test team
§Coordinate the physical location to be used for any test effort
§Prepare location for test effort
§Test cases execution assignments and schedule
§The method for tracking, reporting, reviewing, and correcting defects and enhancements  identified during the test efforts
§Coordination with multiple test teams and multiple development teams
§Regular updates on the progress of the test effort.  This includes information such as a summary of the test scripts executed, number of incidents reported, number of incidents addressed, number of test participants by type (provider, county, State)
§Managing all retest efforts
§Surveying test effort participants on their experience and reporting out on the information collected.
§Entry and exit criteria for this phase
•     Conduct the activities and provide the deliverables outlined in the Test Plan.
 
Requirements
Experience
•Four to six year (minimum) senior level, current, relevant, direct full time experience with software technology development projects that are of a similar or larger size and complexity as this project.
•Demonstrated ability to plan, draft and execute test plans for a tester group of up to 75 people
•Demonstrated ability to create and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
•Demonstrated ability in managing quality assurance, user acceptance test and regression test efforts  for a tester group of up to 75 people including:
oIdentifying, creating, preparing, and managing test data
oAnalyzing system requirements and identifying the most important test cases
oAnalyzing the effectiveness of test cases and then making any necessary improvements
oEstablishing and maintaining a process to effectively manage identified defects Producing reports to communicate test effort progress and results
•Determining when a valid defect occurs, how to communicate it, or if it needs to be escalated for analysis or repair, and when the defect is successfully addressed
•Managing the process to determine the severity and priority of defects with support from the development team and the business
•Creating and communicating defect matrixes

•Adept at using tools for preparing reports, streamlining business processes, and explaining and documenting test plans and processes

•Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
•Professional knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
 
Preferred 
•Microsoft Access knowledge
•Google Suite
•State government experience
•Child Care industry experience
