Job Description

Contract - 11 months

Pay : $18/hr

Job Purpose:

  • Under direct supervision, provide technical support and mobile device maintenance on current iPad and Chromebook projects.
  • Resolve basic problems while referring more complex problems to immediate and/or senior level.


Core Duties:

A summary of responsibilities of this position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hands-on device setup, installation, upgrade, configuration and troubleshooting of computing hardware and storage carts
  • Register devices in Google, enroll in Mobile Device Management (MDM), etc., store new equipment, including carts
  • Manage domain, user accounts, and Google/MDM/Volume Purchase Program  (VPP)
  • Administer Chrome and iOS applications, including developer dashboards, content loading to individual devices, and per-device settings
  • Participate in load and network testing as necessary
  • Refresh iPads between deployments, and apply security best practices
  • Track and manage app licenses for Volume Purchase Program
  • Coordinate iPad deployment and return process with the Tech Desk Manager, or devise an independent distribution system
  • Evaluate candidates for Chromebook and iPad use
  • Order devices and coordinate hardware and software purchases
  • Ensure users are assigned appropriate resources
  • Evaluate learning spaces for network capacity
  • Track device usage and generate reports as needed
  • Send feedback surveys to end users


Education and Experience:

  • Experience with various operating systems and computing devices.
  • Experience installing and configuring desktop computer systems in a networked computing environment, and in applying diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to apply diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.
