Record Center Specialists have to kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward frequently throughout their shifts. Their primary tasks include the moving, arranging, lifting and loading of storage boxes, bins and totes. Boxes, bins and totes range in weight from 24lbs 50lbs. Employees move boxes manually and via hand carts.
Protective footwear is required and shall meet ASTM F2413-11 "Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective ( Safety) Toe Cap Footwear” and have a slip-resistant rating designated as "Better or Best”
Job Summary/Work Schedule
Normal Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 9 hours a day including 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Description of position and job requirements: Employees process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders and other materials. The work is very physical requiring the manual lifting, carrying, and moving/arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling and twisting. Employees must be able to lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 24-50lbs on a regular basis, without assistance. Employees must be able to load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks while walking on uneven and concrete surfaces.

Essential Functions:
- Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
- Work without assistance in order to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surface/elevation
- Read and write English
- Lift and move boxes, read labels, and process incoming and outgoing orders.
- Operate hand held scanner
- Climb and balance on Ladder Carts (not step ladders)
- Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods
- Employee must be able to load, operate and move hand carts, pallet jacks and various other material handling aids

This position has the responsibility and authority to coordinate the Shipping area to provide timely customer service to those in need of Materials both internally and externally to Medtronic Louisville. Ensure that all packages that are sent to a Customer have been packaged to the designated standards. Ensure the accuracy of Raw Material Inventory by following processes and procedures that have been established. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be aware of Export compliance rules and regulations. Data entry input into the AES database for SED filing. Interface daily with Customer Operations. Assist in training all new personnel. Assist with attendance reporting if needed by new personnel. Assist in changing departmental processes and procedures. The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) is looking a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated background and experience in Corrections, Information Technology, and State and Local government to assist in requirements verification, design, development and implementation of a new Offender Management System (OMS). 
The ideal consultant will have worked for the Department of Corrections for atleast of 7 to 10 years in an upper level management position, with a fundamentally sound understanding of offender management and prison operations. 
To meet the Client and technical needs of the department, CDOC desires a consultant with a specific skill set that requires an individual who can:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the OIT IT Director, OMS Project Manager, other Corrections and OIT staff, as well as Vendor partners
  • Work closely with the OMS PM by serving as a mentor and technical advisor during the entire PM life-cycle.
  • Direct or lead the work of other project contractor staff.
  •  Plan and accomplish goals by relying on professional judgment and expertise.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of the OMS project, outside of the formal PM efforts, and report to both OIT and CDOC leadership
Project Background
The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) is in the process of selecting a contractor to implement a fully-integrated electronic Offender Management System (OMS) to support its 20 state correctional facilities, the Division of Parole, headquarters and administrative offices, and also private prisons, community corrections and other contractors and agency partners.
 This comprehensive system will:
a) Replace the Department's current legacy system, the Department of Corrections Information System (DCIS), with a fully-integrated system that encompasses offender information management and tracking; 
b) Provide an electronic health records (EHR) system; and 
c) Provide an Information Technology platform to continuously manage offenders from incarceration through their transition to and completion of, community-based supervision by the Adult Parole Division. 
This fully integrated system will significantly enhance information sharing and cross-program case management as offenders are prepared to re-integrate into society while within facilities and on to parole. An offender management system spanning a period from admissions, to discharge, to parole is an integral part of the long term strategy to enhance the overall efforts of the department to prepare, to the fullest extent possible, each offender to be a law abiding citizen upon discharging from the custody of the Department. The project is expected to be done in distinct phases with the first phase expected to be the implementation of the EHR system.
 Please note that this position upon approval may continue through June 30 of 2017.  All candidates must be able to pass the Department of Corrections background check.
