Position Summary:

Segue Technologies seeks a Systems Administrator to join the on-site support team. This is a full-time position, located at the US Army's Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Rucker, AL.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         This role will split time between architecture / design and development of data solutions by studying existing system operations and defined system requirements.

·         Provide support to assist the customer in an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) / DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF) based organization supporting a large Army system

·         Provide network engineering and administration

·         Oversight for development / testing / production environments under the Army Information Technology Service Provider (ITSP) framework

·         Responsible for maintenance of current systems (virtual and physical), including network monitoring, system access (account management), backups, and patching

·         Provide network troubleshooting activities to identify connectivity issues

·         Provide DBA functional support for the system SQL Server Databases of the primary system

·         Act as Tier 2/3 support for the Service desk

·         Assist with software, hardware, and infrastructure planning / deployment

·         Additional tasks as required

 

Required Skills:

·         Bachelor's degree in IT Systems, Engineering, or other technical field plus 5 - 7 years of related experience or 10+ years equivalent work experience relevant to Enterprise System

·         Extensive experience with Windows 7, Windows Server 2008(+R2)/2012 operating system

·         Experience managing Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, and DHCP

·         Demonstrated use of VMware vSphere, VM and Storage Area Network architecture and configuration

·         Demonstrated experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance of windows webservers (IIS)

·         Experience with setup and configuration of SQL Databases in an enterprise environment

·         Strong background in network design and documentation

·         Exposure to configuration of standard desktop in an enterprise environment (specifically to support standard enterprise domain infrastructure)

·         Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Active Secret Clearance

·         Current Security+ Certification

 

Desired Skills:

·         Current Knowledge of ARTS or G/TIMS program

·         Current Knowledge of Army Network environments

·         Experience with DoD System Development

·         Logical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting of complex systems
